March 2 – 15, 2026
Gallery Onetwentyeight is proud to present HAVANAYORK, a solo exhibition of photography by Orestes Gonzalez. This collection explores the raw, parallel energies of Havana and New York City—two iconic urban landscapes that, despite their geopolitical differences, share a profound atmospheric DNA.In HAVANAYORK, Gonzalez captures the “everyday” through a lens of deep personal connection. The exhibition highlights the striking similarities between these two bustling hubs: the weathered textures of historic buildings, the spontaneous humor of street life, and the resilient beauty found within the urban framework. By juxtaposing the rhythms of both cities, he exposes a shared humanity. “I am a product of that mix,” says Gonzalez.
