onetwentyeight, one of the oldest galleries on the Lower East Side celebrates its’ 30th year this holiday season with, “wabi sabi”.
Wabi Sabi embraces the beauty of things imperfect, ephemeral and incomplete; yet modest and humble. It is this approach to beauty that eventually became embodied in a Japanese Green Tea Ceremony that bares its’ name. Imperfection and incompleteness is made whole and one as each individual sips from one precious bowl and then passes it to the next person; and so on.
