Lower East Side gallery onetwentyeight presents its first annual exhibition of art by children on December 18, 2014, at its space in 128 Rivington Street. The children, from the Lower East Side and beyond, range in age from 5 to 14 years old and were asked to submit work based on their accomplishment or interest in their art. Pieces range from pencil on paper to more elaborate works utilizing many media, and the exhibition includes several sculptural items as well. The exhibition runs through Saturday January 3rd, 2015.

“I am delighted to be presenting this exhibition of child artists from New York City and northeast Connecticut,” says Paul Power, who co-organized this exhibition with gallery director Kazuko Miyamoto. “The 20 artists were invited to submit works in any medium and on any theme and what has emerged is a wonderful and accomplished assemblage of these childrens’ dreams and realities.”
