Pietro Pasolini, The Longest Stretch, print on Duratrans, 39"x26", 2016

onetwentyeight is pleased to announce the opening of the solo show by Pietro Pasolini.

Following his most recent exhibition “The Forgotten World of Photography”, Pietro Pasolini continues his research into the nature of perception and reality. Using a custom macro lens built specifically for this occasion, the artist sets out to photograph the microorganisms that live and grow on the windows of tropical greenhouses. Entering into the micro-universe with a self designed tool, Pasolini begins a quest for equilibrium among forms and colors.

“While looking into the frame, I slowly move the lens across the plane and I observe silently while the trespassing of light creates an ever-changing painting. Immersed into a deeper reality I spend hours looking at shapes and colors evolve, waiting for them to come to exist in a perfect equilibrium.”
